"Language best shows the person. Speak, and I may see thee!"
-Ben Johnson

The Department of Communication Studies is small enough to provide outstanding graduate and undergraduate teaching, yet large enough to rank as one of the finest programs in the country. For example, the Department has been ranked first in the nation in research productivity among private University Master's level programs. Our faculty members are recognized professionals who incorporate research and real-world experience into every course they teach. As a result, Communication Studies faculty are among the most popular professors at TCU and frequent recipients of awards for outstanding teaching and student mentoring.

Currently, the Department ranks first in the United States in research productivity among Master's level programs (according to Comm Vista).
